A Life worth Living – Dinner & Dialogue to explore the complexities of life

What is worth living for?
A common reason why many of us moved to Amsterdam is that the work-life balance is much better than anywhere else. Balancing work and leisure, experiencing happiness, searching for meaning are actually spiritual quests. Beyond the quality of life and what you can afford, the deeper question facing us is this: how do I live a good life and what makes life worth living?

Life is work, and we often find ourselves tired from its demands. While we seek multiple meanings, we sometimes face an overwhelming sense of meaninglessness. Despite the inherent worth in everything, we often feel a poverty of spirit. It is crucial to create space for our spirits to explore the complexities of life, which emphasises the importance of committing to something larger than ourselves—be it family, friends, vocation, community, or a moral cause.

What we offer
In October we will take you in three sessions to a place where you can explore the questions around life, meaning and worth. We are convinced that a dinner and dialog brings you closer to answering this life giving question. 

Who are we?
We are Citykerk, a community on a journey to explore life’s big questions. Drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of the Christian tradition, we seek to uncover their enduring relevance in the heart of contemporary Amsterdam. 

Our city is home to 177 nationalities and has a population where over half have migrant backgrounds. While Dutch is our heritage, we warmly embrace individuals from all walks of life. Citykerk wants to reflect the diversity of the city, and it extends a heartfelt welcome to everyone who calls this city home.
